Cloudflare error 522 — Connection timed out
Cloudflare opened a connection toward the origin and the origin never completed the handshake within the timeout. Different from 524, where the connection succeeded but the response never finished.
A proxy does not fix this. The failure is behind Cloudflare, past the point where your request has any influence.

The origin is overloaded and not accepting new connections.
A firewall between Cloudflare and the origin is dropping packets silently.
Routing problems between Cloudflare's edge and the origin network.
How to fix it
