Cloudflare, on an explicit IP ban.
Cloudflare error 1006 — Access denied, your IP has been banned
The site owner banned this specific address, or the range it belongs to. 1006, 1007 and 1008 are the same ban surfaced from different rule types.
A proxy fixes this. This is the cleanest case for changing IP: the ban is on an address, and a different address is not banned. Prefer residential — a fresh datacenter IP in the same range is often already banned too.
Why it happens
Sustained abuse from this IP, by you or by whoever held it before.
The whole datacenter range is banned, which is common for cloud provider IP space.
A country-level block that resolves to your exit address.
How to fix it
- Move off the banned address. Unlike a rate limit, this does not expire on its own.
- Use residential IPs — real ISP addresses are rarely banned in bulk, because doing so blocks real customers.
- If it is a country ban, exit from a country the site actually serves.
