Rent a phone number with an API

Activations vs rentals: when to hold a number for multiple messages, and how to rent one programmatically.

Two modes cover most needs:

  • Activation — a number for a single verification, billed per OTP. Cheapest.
  • Rental — hold a number for a window (minutes to days) and receive multiple messages.

Rent a number

curl -X POST https://api.eveses.com/api/v1/numbers/orders \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $KEY" \
  -d '{"country":"us","mode":"rent","service":"telegram"}'

Switch mode to rent and the same SMS-read + webhook flow applies — the number just stays yours until the rental ends or you finish it.

When to rent

Rent when a flow sends more than one message (re-verification, 2FA over time, drip onboarding) or when you need a stable number for a session. Otherwise activations are cheaper.
