DEVELOPER API

OTP API

Programmatic one-time passwords over SMS — request a number, receive the code, verify in seconds.

The Eveses OTP API gives your backend a disposable phone number on demand and streams back the one-time password the moment it lands. No SIM farm, no manual copy-paste — a single POST creates the activation, and a webhook (or long-poll) delivers the code. You are billed only when a code arrives.

How it works

1

Create an activation

POST a `service` and `country`; you get a live number and an activation id back instantly.

2

Receive the OTP

Subscribe a webhook or long-poll the activation — the parsed numeric code is returned as soon as the SMS is delivered.

3

Only pay on success

If no message ever arrives the activation expires free of charge; you are charged solely for delivered codes.

Code examples

Create an activation and read the OTP — cURL, Node, Python, PHP, Go.

# 1 — request a number for the service
curl -X POST "https://api.eveses.com/v1/numbers/orders" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $EVESES_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"service":"any-otp","country":"us"}'
# → { "id":"act_9f2", "number":"+1202555••••", "status":"waiting" }

# 2 — poll for the code (or use a webhook)
curl "https://api.eveses.com/v1/numbers/orders/act_9f2" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $EVESES_API_KEY"
# → { "id":"act_9f2", "status":"received", "code":"483920" }

Pricing

Pay-as-you-go per delivered code from your wallet — volume tiers lower the rate automatically. Failed activations are free.

FAQ

What is an OTP API?›
An OTP (one-time password) API programmatically provisions a phone number and returns the verification code sent to it, so your service can complete SMS-based sign-ups and logins without human involvement.
How fast are codes delivered?›
Most codes arrive within a few seconds. Use a webhook for push delivery, or the wait_for_code helper which long-polls until the code lands or the activation times out.
Do I pay for failed verifications?›
No. An activation that never receives a message expires at no cost — you are billed only for successfully delivered OTPs.
Which services are supported?›
Hundreds — Telegram, WhatsApp, Google, and most apps that verify by SMS. Pass a specific service code, or "any" for a general-purpose number. Service identifiers are internal API identifiers used solely to identify supported services; third-party names are the property of their respective owners.
