Temp number extensions

Free temporary number extensions, and why the code never comes

Most free "temporary phone number" extensions show a list of public numbers whose messages anyone can read. That is why they are free, and why they rarely work: the big sites have seen those numbers thousands of times and refuse them, and any code that does arrive is visible to everyone else using the same list.

A number from the Eveses panel is assigned to you, its messages are shown only in your account, and it costs from $0.09. If no code arrives, you are not charged.

Was es sonst kann

Shared versus private

  • Shared public number: free; anyone can read the code; widely blocked; whoever reads the code first can use it.
  • Private Eveses number: paid; only you see the code; fresh enough that many more services accept it; a one-time activation that receives nothing is not charged.

If you need it again

Public numbers rotate out and cannot be relied on for a second code. Rent an Eveses number when the account will ask again; the rental stays yours for its term and can be extended.

Was sie nicht kann

  • It is not free.
  • No number is accepted by every service; another country often works when one does not, at no cost if no code came.

Fragen

Why do free numbers never get the code?›
The service has already blocked them, or the code arrived and someone else used it first.
Can anyone else see my code?›
No. Messages to your Eveses number appear only in your account.
What does a failed attempt cost?›
Nothing. An activation that receives no code expires and the hold returns to your balance.
